Congratulations to Newport’s Sean Kelly, who won the ‘Mayo Person of the Year’ award in recognition of successfully building up his family business Kelly’s of Newport to international standards in recent years. Sean, who put his famous black pudding on the map, is a tireless Ambassador for Mayo throughout his business dealings and his personal life.

Ballyhaunis GAA Club won the Meitheal Award for their integration work within their multicultural community. The club has shown just how the GAA can play an important part going forward. Ballyhaunis GAA’s integration policy can be seen as a template for other communities in the future.
