This year’s Mayo International Kite Festival will take place on Achill Island’s Keel Beach on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July, and it promises to be another very magical fun day out!
Everyone is welcome to attend….even your pets! There is no admission to attend or to participate in the contest. So folks….why not come out to see the spectacular sight of hundreds of kites in the sky and enjoy a summer’s day on Keel Beach.
There will be a kite-making workshop for the little ones, demonstrations by Pro-Kite fliers, some fun competitions like the highest kite, the best design and most colourful kites, and loads of entertainment all day on Keel Beach!
There will also be free introductions to kite-surfing and demos by the pros….so good timing to give it a go or to take some nice snaps with your camera! Everyone is also welcome to bring their own kite and fly their colours very high in the Mayo skies!
